A garnishee order is issued in two parts, the first being the order Nisi and the second being the order Absolute. Under Order Nisi, the court will direct the banker to stop payment out of the account and also seeks explanation from the bnaker, why the funds in the said account should not be utilized for meeting the claims of the judgement creditor. After filing reply by the banker, the court will issue final order known as the order Absolute whereby the entire balance or a specified amount is attached to be handed over to the judgement creditor.
