☑️ Fill the hardcopy of the form: Read the instructions carefully provided at the bottom of the application and fill the form with proper care. 

☑️ Submit the required documents: Certain documents are required for the correction in name or name change of the student, you need to submit those documents along with the form for the necessary action. The documents that are required to be submitting are: admission documents, school leaving certificate, birth certificate with correct spelling, etc. These are to be submitted to the school that will be forwarded to the concerned Board i.e. CBSE, ICSE, etc.

4. Note that change or correction in name or surname be made only if the changes have been admitted by the Court of Law and the same must be notified in the Government Gazette before the publication of the result.

It is a very useful tool to ensure the transparency and accountability in the smooth functioning of CBSE-affiliated schools.
The procedure to change name or make the correction through e-Harkara varies depending on the specific circumstances of the CBSE-affiliated school. The basic steps are mentioned below:
1. The student or his/ her parent may submit an application for name change or name correction of the student to the Principal of the CBSE-affiliated school.
